SunLink(TM) Multiprotocol Communication Processor (MCP) is ahardware/software peripheral that enhances communication capability forworkstation systems. MCP works with the data link protocols of manySunLink products, such as Internetwork Router, X.25, SNA 3270, and SNAPeer-to-Peer and BSC RJE, enabling workstation customers to use theseproducts for high-performance applications. SunLink MCP also offers theflexibility of (1) simultaneous multiprotocol support and (2) concurrentsynchronous and asynchronous communication.MCP has four I/O channels for synchronous communication.
